When Cannon Hill Anglican College (CHAC) received feedback that their app was difficult for parents to navigate, they turned to Tempus Media for a solution. We recommended and produced an animated explainer video to serve as a virtual walkthrough. This video, created using screen-recorded app navigation, helped parents troubleshoot common issues, easily find information, and ultimately improve their experience with the CHAC application.
The Challenge – Improving App Usability with Animated Instructional Video
Ahhh, apps. Equally the best and most frustrating modern invention. Unfortunately, for many parents, their experience with the CHAC app was the latter.
The team at CHAC received feedback that their app was difficult to navigate and the parents were confused as to where they could find information. So Tempus was hired to break down and visualise how to get around the app.
The Outcome – Successful App Explainer Video for Parent Training
We recommended that the team create an animated app explainer to act as a virtual walkthrough of how to use the app and where to find information. To do this, we screen-recorded someone navigating the app on a phone, and made the information visible and easy to read. If parents were having difficulty, they could reference that video to help troubleshoot and better understand the app.
